May I See Gray? Christ, Christians, and the Culture Wars
The country is divided into two colors: red and blue. Which are you: red,
blue, or maybe green? Sixty second sound bytes are meant to define and decide
every issue for us. Take a side and get in their tidy little box. What’s that?
You don’t fit? The combination of an election year plus the on-going culture
wars seem perfectly designed to polarize the country even more. How does a
Christian look to Scripture and the example of Jesus to navigate, respond
Christianly, and make important decisions in a complex world?

relationship we deeply desire for others to know Jesus. Come explore 4 (or
more) relevant, efficient (30 seconds or less), and functional approaches to
sharing your faith before you reach the 12th floor. “What if the Holy Spirit
worked through you to bring another to intimately know Jesus?” Just Imagine…

offer the rest of the holy, “catholic” (universal) church! What, then, is
distinctive and profitable for the church to receive from the Lutheran

How Do I Explain the “Holy War” Incidents in the Old Testament?
Christians struggle with Old Testament passages where God commands complete
destruction of cities, towns, villages, especially when used by skeptics or
enemies of the faith as reasons why religion, in general, and Christianity, in
particular, is not good for society. Is there any apologetic or explanation
for a Christian to share in such discussions?

What can I do? My faith does not feel exciting or strong.
There are seasons where the excitement has worn off, seasons when you feel
distant, and seasons we say, “I have tried everything. Is God even listening?”
Are you currently in a rut or in a valley? Have you ever been there? Will you
ever be there? Through God’s Word and the experiences of fellow believers
discover what can be done.

LIFE after Life: What actually happens after I die?
God has given us the precious gift of Life on His earth. Sooner or later we
will all face our last day here. What happens from that point forward? Where
are our loved ones now? Do we have any misconceptions? Some choose to ignore
these questions, others despair over them, and others find hope. What do we
